There are many advantages of being a member of the Machin Collectors Club. We were initially formed in 1995 to provide a regular monthly newsletter with information of all the latest issues, at a time of a rapidly changing market. It seemed as though the printers were changing printing plates on a weekly basis!
Since then though, we have now added regular monthly postal auctions, we established the Salisbury Stamp & Postcard show, which unfortunately had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus situation. Hopefully 2021 will be much better.
In 1999 we produced the first edition of the MCC's club catalogue based on Alan Wilson's original. In 2010 this was upgraded to the Queen Elizabeth QEII Decimal Definitive Catalogue - a two volume publication and included full colour throughout for the first time. As a bonus it now also includes a comprehensive listing of the Wilding issues. This catalogue is now offered as loose leaf version where collectors can just buy the parts of the catalogue that is of interest to them, therefore saving money and space. (and see below)
After several years as editors, in 2017 we acquired the rights to the Stoneham catalogue which has now enabled us to offer this ever popular catalogue on line - and for FREE!
It is also possible that that we may be able to offer this catalogue in a loose leaf version (see above), again enabling collectors to buy just the parts that are of interest. WATCH THIS SPACE!
